CTD arrests suspected RAW agent with explosives in Pakpattan
The suspect, Wajid Ali, a resident of Bajaur, was held after a tip-off near New Ghala Mandi, according to CTD officials cited by Dawn.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a man it described as a suspected agent of India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) in an intelligence-based operation near New Ghala Mandi in Pakpattan on Monday night, Dawn reported.
The suspect was identified as Wajid Ali, a resident of Bajaur district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to CTD sources cited by Dawn, a mobile team led by Under Officer Fida Hussain received a tip-off about the suspect's presence and raided the identified location.
Explosives were recovered during the arrest, according to the report. The CTD did not immediately release the quantity or type of explosives, nor any details of the alleged plot.
The operation took place near New Ghala Mandi, a locality in Pakpattan, which lies in central Punjab. Pakpattan is about 40 kilometres from Sahiwal.
RAW is India's external intelligence agency. Pakistani security forces regularly announce arrests of people they accuse of working for RAW, though details of the investigations are rarely made public.
The suspect was taken into custody for further questioning, the report said. No court appearance was reported.
The report could not be independently verified by Skardu Times. Dawn did not publish the full text of the CTD statement.
