Four-day polio drive starts in Murree, Rawalpindi, Attock
The Murree campaign was launched at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital by Additional Deputy Commissioner Malik Rashid Nemat, according to APP.

A four-day anti-polio immunisation campaign has begun in Murree district, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported on Monday. The drive was launched at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, where Additional Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement) Malik Rashid Nemat gave vaccine drops to children.
The report said the ceremony was attended by Chief Executive Officer Health Murree Dr Azhar Mahmood Abbasi, Deputy District Officer Health Dr Maryam Ali Abbasi and THQ Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Awais Alam.
APP said the campaign would run for four days. The agency's report did not give an end date for the Murree drive, nor did it say how many children would be vaccinated.
The agency also circulated a photograph showing a lady health worker administering polio drops to a child. In the caption, APP said the campaign was aimed at a polio-free Pakistan.
Dawn reported that a special four-day anti-polio drive began in Rawalpindi and Attock. That report gave no other details about the two districts, including the number of children targeted or the names of the officials involved.
Murree, Rawalpindi and Attock are all in Punjab. The campaigns are part of routine anti-polio work carried out by health authorities in the province and across Pakistan. Neither report mentioned any new polio case in the districts.
