Senator Waqar Mehdi said the PPP chairman represents a new chapter in the party's political legacy and encouraged youth to join democratic politics.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh General Secretary Senator Waqar Mehdi congratulated party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on his 38th birthday on Monday, describing the occasion as a continuation of the party's democratic struggle and political legacy, according to Business Recorder.
In a birthday message, Mehdi said Bilawal represented a new chapter in the political legacy of PPP founder and former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, as well as the political struggle of President Asif Ali Zardari.
He said Bilawal had encouraged young people to play an active role in politics and to associate the country's future with democratic principles.
"The history of the Pakistan Peoples Party has been shaped by democratic struggle and sacrifices, and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is carrying the commitment of that history to the new generation," Mehdi said.
Mehdi said Bilawal's politics focused on the Constitution, parliament, the federal structure and what he described as the people's right to governance and prosperity. He added that the PPP chairman's political journey had also focused on democracy, constitutional governance and public welfare.
The senator said PPP workers across Sindh were marking Bilawal's birthday by reaffirming their commitment to the party's democratic struggle and political objectives.
