Sindh Revenue Board draws 95 winners in POS invoice ballot
The fourth computerised ballot covered 217,525 verified invoices, a sharp rise from earlier draws, with cars, motorcycles and cash among prizes.

KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) on Tuesday, September 22, held its fourth computerised prize ballot for verified point-of-sale invoices, announcing 95 winners. The draw covered 217,525 verified invoices filed between April 8 and September 21, 2026, the Board said.
The prize list includes a 1600cc car and a 1300cc car as bumper prizes, along with motorcycles, televisions, refrigerators, tablets, mobile phones, smart watches and cash awards, according to details released by the SRB.
The number of verified invoices entering the ballot has grown sharply. The first three draws covered 3,260, 8,734 and 90,937 invoices respectively, compared with 217,525 this time. SRB Chairman Dr Wasif Ali Memon presided over the draw at the Board's Karachi head office, where officials described the verification mechanism and steps taken to keep the balloting transparent. Daily Times reported that tax consultants, advisers and journalists attended the ceremony.
Under the scheme, businesses offering retail services, including restaurants, beauty parlours and gyms, must integrate their POS invoicing systems with SRB for real-time reporting of transactions. Customers can verify the authenticity of an invoice by scanning the QR code printed on the receipt or by entering the SRB invoice number through the “eSRB” app or the SRB website. Verified invoices are automatically entered into the computerised ballot.
The Board said the incentive programme is intended to push customers to ask for POS-integrated, verifiable invoices, which makes tax paid clearer, improves compliance and supports a wider culture of business documentation.
