Pakistan were bowled out for 110 in 25.3 overs by Sri Lanka in the fourth and final league match of the ODI tri-series at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Tuesday, a total that leaves the visitors needing a win to reach Sunday's final against Pakistan and eliminate England.

Kusal Mendis won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat, according to ARY News. Dilshan Madushanka, the left-arm seamer, returned career-best figures of 5-34 in 8.3 overs (his previous best of 5-80 came against India in Mumbai at the 2023 World Cup, ARY News reported) while Sahan Arachchige took 2-24.

Pakistan, who chased down 242 to beat England by one wicket on Sunday on the back of a Shadab Khan century, never built a partnership. Fakhar Zaman fell for five in the fourth over, caught by Rathnayake off Madushanka, and Maaz Sadaqat was leg-before to Asitha Fernando for eight as the hosts slipped to 23-2 in 6.2 overs.

Babar Azam top-scored with 29 from 33 balls, hitting five fours, and put on 23 with Saad Baig for the third wicket. Baig made five before Madushanka had him caught, and Arachchige removed Salman Agha for nine. Babar was leg-before to Eshan Malinga as Pakistan went to 61-5, with Agha and Babar out in quick succession.

Shadab Khan made two, caught behind by Kusal Mendis off Arachchige, and Arafat Minhas made ten from 18 balls before becoming Madushanka's third victim, also caught by the wicketkeeper. Hasan Nawaz resisted for 31 balls for 17, including a six, before he was caught by Mendis off Dunith Wellalage at 91-8. Haris Rauf fell for one.

Shaheen Shah Afridi hit two sixes in 15 from 13 balls before Madushanka dismissed him to complete the five-wicket haul. The Express Tribune reported that Pakistan lost their last six wickets for 49 runs after reaching 61-4.

Pakistan made two changes from the side that beat England: Maaz Sadaqat came in for Saim Ayub, and Naseem Shah replaced Razaullah. Naseem had missed the previous match after dislocating a finger on his left hand.
