Amir Muqam urges KP government to focus on public relief
Federal minister questions postponement of the long march and calls for attention to terrorism and public issues, according to APP.

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam on Saturday urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to focus on providing relief to the people and solving their problems rather than creating additional hardships, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan.
Muqam, who is also the PML-N president for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, made the remarks in a statement reported by APP from Islamabad. He raised questions over the postponement of the long march and said the provincial government should direct its attention to fighting terrorism and public issues in the province.
The federal minister said that instead of adding to the difficulties of residents, the KP government should address their problems and provide relief. He called for the provincial administration to give priority to public welfare.
The APP report did not specify which long march Muqam was referring to or why it was postponed. It also did not carry additional details of the statement beyond the minister's criticism of the provincial government.
The remarks were carried in a brief APP dispatch from Islamabad on Saturday. Muqam holds the federal portfolio for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON and leads the PML-N in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
