Gunmen open fire in Nushki girls college, injuring three students
Police say three armed men entered through the main gate, forced their way into the principal's office and fired indiscriminately before fleeing; a search operation is under way.

Three female students were injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire inside the Girls Degree College in Nushki, Balochistan, police said, an attack that led authorities to tighten security at educational institutions across the district.
Officials at the City Police Station in Nushki said the assailants forced their way into the college and fired directly at students. The injured were shifted to Mir Gul Khan Nasir Teaching Hospital, where health authorities were placed on high alert to treat them, according to the police account reported by Daily Times.
College administrators said three armed men entered through the main entrance gate, went into the principal's office, damaged property there and fired indiscriminately. The shooting caused panic among students and staff across the campus, and employees called police for emergency assistance.
Police cordoned off the building on arrival and began a search of the surrounding area for the attackers, who had fled. Forensic teams collected shell casings and ballistic evidence and recorded statements from campus staff, officers said. No group has claimed responsibility, and police have not publicly stated a motive.
The district administration said security had been heightened at all public and educational institutions in Nushki and promised swift legal action against those responsible. Officials also said they would assist the families of the injured students during their treatment.
The attack drew condemnation from community leaders, educational associations and civil society organisations in Balochistan, who demanded stronger security at schools and colleges and the posting of dedicated police personnel at the entrances of educational institutions.
Balochistan Pulse, in its headline on the incident, described the assailants as terrorists; the outlet did not carry further details in the report available to this newspaper. Daily Times reported no claim of responsibility for the shooting.
