ITCN Asia 2026 opens in Karachi with 75,000 trade visitors
The three-day exhibition includes global participants from China to Switzerland and covers artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and fintech.
KARACHI: The 28th edition of ITCN Asia 2026 opened at the Karachi Expo Centre this week, drawing more than 75,000 trade visitors over three days, Express News reported on Wednesday.
The technology exhibition is being held with support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and is being promoted as a key platform for Pakistan's digital connectivity and global partnerships. More than 350 international delegates and over 18,500 senior business figures are attending, according to the report.
Exhibitors and visitors from China, Azerbaijan, South Korea, Australia, Türkiye, Egypt, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are taking part. The event is showcasing artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, fintech and digital transformation technologies.
Express News said the exhibition is playing an important role in connecting Pakistan's technology capabilities with global markets and promoting the digital economy. The SIFC's involvement is aimed at attracting foreign investment into the information technology sector, the report added.
Alongside the exhibition floor, the event provides networking opportunities for local technology companies and international buyers. Express News described the gathering as successful, with high-level business figures from Pakistan and abroad attending meetings and product demonstrations.
The Special Investment Facilitation Council, which has been coordinating investment initiatives across sectors, is backing the event to highlight Pakistan's growing IT industry. Its support for ITCN Asia is part of efforts to position the country as a destination for information technology outsourcing and innovation.
ITCN Asia is an annual technology and telecommunications exhibition, and the 2026 event is its 28th edition. The three-day run continues at the Expo Centre, where organisers have not yet released a final attendance tally. No independent confirmation of the figures reported by Express News was immediately available.
The participation of delegates from eight countries highlights the international scope of the event, which organisers see as a bridge between Pakistan's tech industry and investors from Asia, Europe and the Middle East. This year's focus on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity reflects the government's broader push to increase technology exports and digital infrastructure.
