Jetour Unveils T2 Facelift in China as Pakistan Sells Older Model

Jetour has launched a facelifted version of its T2 SUV in China, where it is sold as the Traveler 7, with revised styling, an updated cabin and new petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrains, according to ProPakistani.

The update comes weeks after the SUV was shown in refreshed form at the Chengdu Motor Show and is significant for Pakistan, where the T2 has only recently gone on sale.

In July 2026, Jetour introduced the T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid in Pakistan, followed by the 2.0 XWD petrol variants in August. Local CKD assembly of the T2 i-DM began earlier this month, ProPakistani reported.

The facelift keeps the T2's boxy silhouette but softens some of the rugged detailing. Round headlights now sit behind a full-width light strip, replacing the previous square units, and the Jetour lettering has moved higher onto the bonnet. The bumpers are more integrated and body-coloured, while the rear retains vertical four-point taillights but gains a redesigned spoiler, smoother D-pillar treatment and a revised bumper. Previously black exterior parts, including wheel-arch flares, are now finished in body colour.

In China, the updated T2 continues with petrol and plug-in hybrid options. The base petrol model uses a 1.5-litre turbo engine producing 184 PS and 290 Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. Higher petrol variants get a 2.0-litre turbo engine with 250 hp and 390 Nm and all-wheel drive; the top version now uses an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The bigger technical change is on the T2 i-DM PHEV. It keeps a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with 153 hp and 220 Nm, but its hybrid system now uses a single 307 PS electric motor and a one-speed dedicated hybrid transmission, replacing the previous three-speed unit. The PHEV offers two LFP battery options, and Jetour claims up to 1,400 km of combined range under the CLTC cycle with the larger battery and a 70-litre fuel tank.

By comparison, the Pakistan-spec T2 i-DM currently uses an 18.4 kWh battery with a claimed 90 km NEDC electric range.

Inside, the facelift keeps a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central display, but the infotainment now runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 processor with 24GB RAM and 256GB storage. The cabin adds 10-way power-adjustable seats with eight-point massage, a 23-speaker audio system, 256-colour ambient lighting, a revised steering wheel, wireless phone charging and updated AI voice controls.

Driver assistance has been upgraded, with petrol models receiving Chery's Falcon 500 system and the PHEV using Huawei's Qiankun ADS5 technology, according to ProPakistani.

In China, petrol versions of the facelifted T2 are priced from 149,900 yuan (about $21,300) to 169,900 yuan ($24,100). PHEV versions range from 159,900 yuan ($22,700) to 179,900 yuan ($25,500).

In Pakistan, the T2 i-DM PHEV launched at an ex-factory price of Rs12,795,000, while the 2.0 XWD is Rs13,590,000 and the 2.0 XWD Dominator Kit is Rs15,590,000. Jetour said it received more than 1,000 bookings within 24 hours of the T2 i-DM launch.
