KP RTS Commission calls for digitalisation of public services
Commissioner Shaukat Ali Yousafzai chaired a Peshawar meeting with education board representatives to discuss faster digitisation and real-time monitoring, APP reported.
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Public Services Commission has called on government departments to accelerate the digitisation of public services and strengthen real-time monitoring, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan.
The appeal was made during a meeting in Peshawar on 22 September, which was chaired by Commissioner RTS Shaukat Ali Yousafzai. Representatives of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Abbottabad and other boards were present at the meeting, APP reported.
The commission said faster digitisation and stronger real-time monitoring were needed to ensure that citizens receive public services in a timely and effective manner. It stressed that real-time oversight would help departments identify delays and address them quickly.
APP said the meeting was part of the commission's engagement with education boards. No further details about specific decisions, timelines or the other boards represented were immediately available in the report.
The Right to Public Services Commission is responsible for overseeing the delivery of public services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Its push for digitalisation and real-time monitoring comes as provincial departments face calls to make services more accessible and transparent.
The Associated Press of Pakistan report did not provide a direct statement from Commissioner Yousafzai beyond the commission's call. It also did not specify which services would be digitised first.
