Kundi urges restoration of KP air connectivity
Governor tells Senate defence committee several major cities remain without regular flights.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday asked the federal government to restore air services to key cities in the province, saying several major urban centres remain disconnected by air.
He made the appeal while addressing a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Defence, chaired by Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
The governor told the committee that he had brought the province's case before it, stressing that air connectivity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had not been restored. He urged federal authorities to improve air links across the province by resuming flights to important cities.
No list of cities or routes was given in the report, and no date was announced for any resumption of services.
The meeting was held in Islamabad. Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood chaired the session. According to the report, Kundi said several major cities of the province remained disconnected by air, but he did not specify how many cities were without flights or how long the disruption had lasted.
The appeal came as provincial officials have continued to press the federal government for better transport links in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
