Lahore flood centre issues daily river bulletin
The Flood Forecasting Division's September 20 update was published without retrievable details on river levels or warnings.
Pakistan's Flood Forecasting Division (FFD) in Lahore issued its daily flood bulletin on September 20, according to a notice posted by the Pakistan Meteorological Department. The bulletin was made available through an RSS feed, but its detailed river-level and flood-warning contents were not retrievable at the time.
The FFD monitors flows in the Indus and its main tributaries, including the Kabul, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej, and issues warnings when rivers approach dangerous levels. Daily bulletins are routine during the monsoon, when heavy rain in catchment areas can feed flash floods and riverine floods.
No additional information about Saturday's bulletin was immediately available. Skardu Times will update this report if the department releases further details.
