Maryam Aurangzeb releases video of PTI violence, hits KP chief minister

Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has released a video that she says documents past violent incidents involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, including graves dug at Islamabad's D-Chowk and attacks on the PTV and Radio Pakistan buildings, according to UrduPoint and Express News.

Aurangzeb, a senior minister in the Punjab cabinet and a PML-N leader, made the video public through her official channels, the reports said. The footage shows what Aurangzeb described as evidence of PTI's history of street violence. It includes the D-Chowk protest site where graves were dug during an earlier demonstration, as well as scenes of damage to state broadcaster offices. D-Chowk, in the heart of the capital, has been a recurring site of political protests.

In a statement accompanying the video, Aurangzeb accused the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of repeatedly allowing his office to be disrespected and ridiculed. She said those who had dug graves at D-Chowk and attacked PTV and Radio Pakistan now presented themselves as peaceful.

Express News reported that the Punjab minister released the footage amid a political confrontation between the PML-N-led Punjab government and the PTI. UrduPoint carried a similar report, with a headline saying the chief minister was continuously causing disrespect and ridicule of his office.

The UrduPoint report's headline listed the graves at D-Chowk and the attacks on PTV and Radio Pakistan as part of Aurangzeb's charge against PTI. Express News described the released material as a video of PTI's past violent incidents. PTV and Radio Pakistan are Pakistan's state-owned television and radio broadcasters.

Neither outlet published the full statement or a link to the complete video in the available material. The reports did not include any immediate response from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister or from PTI leaders.
