Pakistan LNG seeks bids for two winter cargoes at $100 million each
Pakistan LNG Limited wants delivery at Port Qasim in mid-December and mid-January, as spot prices approach their highest level since 2022.

Pakistan LNG Limited has invited international suppliers to bid for two winter liquefied natural gas cargoes, one for mid-December and one for mid-January, with each shipment estimated at about $100 million at current market prices.
The state-owned company is seeking both cargoes on a Delivered Ex-Ship basis at Port Qasim in Karachi, under which the supplier delivers the gas at the port. The tender notice schedules the first delivery between December 14 and 16, 2026, and the second between January 9 and 11, 2027.
Each shipment will carry about 140,000 cubic metres of LNG, with a tolerance of plus or minus 5 percent.
The two cargoes together are estimated to cost around $200 million. Both reports said the final amount will depend on the prices suppliers submit and on the terms agreed, and that the tender notice does not disclose a purchase price.
PLL is a government-owned company that procures LNG to meet the country's gas requirements. Both outlets linked the tender to higher household gas use for heating in the colder months, and noted that spot LNG prices are approaching their highest levels since 2022.
ProPakistani reported that the tender is numbered PLL/IMP/LNGT80 and that bids were invited from reputed international suppliers.
How the reports differ
Both outlets estimated about $100 million a cargo and about $200 million for the pair, and both said the final price would depend on the bids. ProPakistani alone gave the tender number, PLL/IMP/LNGT80, and the requirement that bidders be reputed international suppliers. TechJuice led on the $200 million total in its headline, while ProPakistani led on the $100 million per cargo.
