PCB advertises for bowling coach after Noffke joins Netherlands
Ashley Noffke, Pakistan's white-ball bowling coach, will lead the Netherlands on a two-year contract through 2028, prompting the search.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has opened a search for a new bowling coach for the national men's team after the Netherlands cricket board appointed Ashley Noffke, Pakistan's white-ball bowling coach, as its head coach. The Royal Dutch Cricket Association announced the appointment on Wednesday on an initial two-year contract running until the end of 2028, Dawn reported.
Noffke will take charge of the Netherlands side during its qualification campaigns for the 2027 ODI World Cup and the 2028 T20 World Cup. His departure from Pakistan's coaching setup had not been signalled publicly in recent days, according to Dawn and Minute Mirror, and the move gives the Australian coach a new challenge in international cricket.
Soon after the Netherlands announcement, the PCB advertised the bowling coach role. The advertisement does not mention Noffke by name or confirm that he has left the Pakistan setup, but the timing points to a change in the coaching structure, Minute Mirror reported. Applications for the post will remain open until October 8.
The PCB is looking for an experienced candidate with at least Level III Cricket Coaching Accreditation and a minimum of five years in a similar position with elite players or national and international teams, according to Minute Mirror and Daily Times.
Noffke, an Australian, joined Pakistan's backroom staff in 2025 as an assistant coach and bowling lead under head coach Mike Hesson. He has since worked with Pakistan's bowlers, mainly in white-ball cricket. At the same time, he is still part of Pakistan's contingent for the Asian Games cricket competition; the men's team is due to leave Karachi on Thursday, the reports said.
The appointment in the Netherlands creates a vacancy in Pakistan's coaching group, and the board's decision to advertise offers a chance to bring in a coach with international or elite-level experience as Pakistan looks to strengthen its bowling resources. Minute Mirror noted that the coaching change comes at an important stage for Pakistan, with the team continuing preparations for upcoming international assignments. For now, Noffke remains with the Asian Games squad while the PCB recruitment process moves ahead.
