PTA Survey Ranks Top Telcos in AJK, Gilgit
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority survey results were reported by ProPakistani, though detailed rankings were not immediately available to Skardu Times.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has released a survey ranking the top-performing telecom operators in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, ProPakistani reported on Sunday.
The report, headlined "Top Performing Telcos in AJK and Gilgit Ranked in PTA Survey", did not include the names of the ranked operators, the criteria used, or the survey period in the material available to Skardu Times at the time of filing.
PTA conducts periodic quality-of-service and consumer satisfaction surveys of mobile network operators across the country. The authority uses the surveys to measure call quality, data speeds, network coverage and other indicators in different regions.
The outcome of the survey is likely to be followed closely by consumers in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, where terrain and scattered populations have historically made mobile coverage uneven.
ProPakistani, a technology and telecom news outlet, carried the headline and said the survey ranked top performing telcos in AJK and Gilgit. The full article could not be retrieved at the time this report was filed.
Skardu Times will update this story when the PTA survey details are obtained.
