Tapmad to stream India-West Indies 2026 series in Pakistan
The streaming platform announced coverage for viewers in Pakistan and Bangladesh, but the notice did not include match dates or venues.
Tapmad said on 22 September that it will carry live coverage of the India-West Indies 2026 cricket series for viewers in Pakistan and Bangladesh. The announcement appeared in an online viewing guide titled "Where to Watch India vs West Indies 2026 Live In Pakistan & Bangladesh".
The guide did not include the match schedule, venues, or the formats to be covered. It also did not state whether the matches would be available to all Tapmad users or only to subscribers with a paid plan. Tapmad has not yet issued a separate statement with those details.
Pakistan's sports broadcasting market has become increasingly crowded as digital platforms compete with traditional television networks for rights to international cricket. Tapmad has previously streamed cricket and football in the region, and its latest notice signals continued investment in live sport.
The India-West Indies series is part of the ICC's future tours programme, though the exact dates in 2026 were not given in the Tapmad guide. Viewers in Pakistan and Bangladesh are expected to follow the series given the popularity of both teams in the region.
Cricinfo's grounds directory separately lists a West Indies tour of Pakistan, but the Tapmad announcement referred to India versus West Indies and did not indicate any connection to that tour. That directory page does not include broadcast information.
International cricket rights in Pakistan are often sold separately for television and digital. In recent years, streaming services have acquired exclusive online rights for major series, sometimes leaving fans without a TV option. The Tapmad announcement did not say whether any television channel would also carry the India-West Indies series.
The lack of fixture details makes planning difficult for viewers, but the notice confirms that Tapmad intends to offer the matches when they take place in 2026. The company typically publishes schedule updates and live links on its app and website.
