BISE Rawalpindi moves Jhelum computer science papers to November 30
The board acted on the Jhelum deputy commissioner's request, who said security and protocol for an expected visit by Maryam Nawaz would disrupt the November 10 papers.

Intermediate computer science papers in Jhelum district have been pushed back 20 days, from November 10 to November 30, after the district administration said arrangements for an expected visit by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz would make it hard to hold the examinations on schedule.
BISE Rawalpindi announced the change in a notification issued by Controller of Examinations Mubashir Saeed, board spokesperson Arslan Cheema confirmed. The postponement applies to the Intermediate Second Annual Examinations 2026 papers for both the morning and evening groups. Under the revised schedule, the morning group will sit computer science in the morning session on November 30 and the evening group in the evening session, at the centres already allotted to candidates.
The board acted on the recommendation of the Jhelum deputy commissioner, who wrote to the BISE Rawalpindi chairman that administrative officials and security personnel would be deployed for the chief minister's expected visit to Jhelum and Pind Dadan Khan on November 10. That deployment, the deputy commissioner said, could make it difficult to run the examinations smoothly and without interruption across the district. The district administration asked the board to move the papers so that students faced no inconvenience and the visit could go ahead.
The postponement covers examination centres inside Jhelum district only. Candidates sitting at the board's centres in other districts will take the computer science paper on November 10 as originally scheduled. No change has been announced for them.
BISE Rawalpindi said it will issue fresh roll number slips showing the November 30 date for affected candidates. Slips already issued will also remain valid, so students who have received them do not need to obtain replacements.
Computer science is the only paper the board has moved in Jhelum so far. Other papers in the second annual examinations will be held at their previously notified times, according to the board's schedule. The second annual examinations give candidates a further attempt at papers in the same academic year.
The chief minister's programme in the district has not been published by the board or the district administration. The deputy commissioner's letter referred to Jhelum and Pind Dadan Khan as the expected stops on November 10.
How the reports differ
Minute Mirror named the Jhelum deputy commissioner's letter to the board chairman as the origin of the postponement and identified Controller of Examinations Mubashir Saeed and spokesperson Arslan Cheema, details that ProPakistani's report did not carry in what it published. Minute Mirror also led on the chief minister's expected visit as the reason for the change, while ProPakistani's headline and opening paragraph reported the rescheduling itself.
