CDA Plans Pakistan's Longest Zip Line in Margalla Hills
A 2.83-kilometre route between Daman-e-Koh and the former Monal site is part of Islamabad's tourism push.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has drawn up a proposal for a 2.83-kilometre zip line in the Margalla Hills that it describes as Pakistan's longest. ProPakistani reported the plan on Tuesday, citing 24NewsHD TV, and Al Sadat Marketing also carried the story of the proposed tourism project.
The attraction would be built in a mountainous valley between Daman-e-Koh and the former Monal site, two well-known points on the Margalla ridge that overlooks Islamabad. The reports did not say whether the valley falls inside the protected Margalla Hills National Park or how access for construction would be managed.
ProPakistani said the proposal is part of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi's vision to develop the capital as a tourist city and attract more visitors. CDA officials told the channel that the zip line would help create a new tourist centre in the Margalla Hills and give residents and tourists another recreational facility in Islamabad.
The route is planned to begin and end at the same point, so riders return to their starting area after completing the ride. According to the report, the 2.83km length would make it the largest zip line in the country, exceeding existing facilities. Al Sadat Marketing's report matched the length and the location between Daman-e-Koh and the former Monal site.
The project remains only a proposal at this stage and is part of wider CDA plans to expand tourism-related facilities in the capital. Neither outlet reported a construction timeline or budget, and no formal approval has been announced by the authority or the Interior Ministry.
