Islamabad cuts evening timings for two electric bus routes
Last departures from Khana Pul, Nilore, Humak and Aari Syedan now leave between 7 pm and 8 pm.

The Capital Mass Transit Authority (CMTW) has revised the evening operating hours for two Islamabad electric bus routes, FR-08B and FR-17, effective September 22, citing the prevailing law and order situation in the federal capital.
For FR-08B, the last bus from the FWD terminal at Khana Pul will now leave at 7:00 pm, while the final bus from the BWD terminal at Nilore will depart at 8:00 pm. On FR-17, the last bus from the FWD terminal at Humak will leave at 7:00 pm, and the final service from the BWD terminal at Aari Syedan will depart at 8:00 pm.
The authority said the change was being made in response to the current security environment. It has advised passengers to plan their evening journeys around the new departure times and to give themselves enough time to reach their stops before the last buses leave.
CMTW said it is monitoring the situation and will issue further updates if it alters the schedules again. It did not say how long the revised hours would remain in force or whether any other routes would be affected.
The two routes are part of the capital's electric bus network. FR-08B connects Khana Pul and Nilore, while FR-17 connects Humak and Aari Syedan. No changes were announced to morning or midday services. Commuters who normally use these routes after 7 pm are being asked to check the last departure from their terminal and not to wait for later buses that will no longer run.
