Sindh HEC launches central portal for university student records
Each university will get a dedicated account and can upload up to 60,000 student records at once through an Excel template, the commission said.

The Sindh Higher Education Commission has launched a centralised portal, Roshan Sindh Pakistan, to hold student records from public and private universities in the province. Each university will be given a dedicated account to upload its students' information, according to the commission's announcement.
Institutions can send up to 60,000 records in a single upload using an Excel template, TechJuice reported. The portal checks the data as it arrives, blocks duplicate entries and generates detailed reports from the records it holds.
Access to the system is restricted and every upload is logged, TechJuice reported, giving the commission a complete audit trail. Officials said the records will let them follow enrolment trends, improve education planning and strengthen quality assurance across universities.
The portal is meant to cut administrative work at universities, which until now submitted student information in several different formats. Automated checks are expected to reduce errors and repeated entries, and the commission says data management will become faster as a result.
The News International carried the launch as a headline item and ProPakistani reported the same announcement. The upload limit, the Excel template and the audit trail appeared in TechJuice's account of the launch.
The commission did not say when universities must begin uploading their records, how many institutions the portal covers at the start, or what the system will cost.
