Hundreds leave Russian-held Oleshky under US-backed truce
Evacuees reached the Ukrainian-Belarusian border to meet relatives, with one couple describing a search for food across minefields.

Hundreds of residents left the Russian-occupied town of Oleshky on Friday during a locally agreed ceasefire and arrived in Belarus, where relatives waited at the Ukrainian-Belarusian border to meet them.
Channel NewsAsia reported that the evacuation was backed by the United States and that the residents who came out were starving and exhausted. It described the pause as the first of its kind in the war, which is nearing its fifth year, and the longest humanitarian pause so far.
The Associated Press reported the reunions at the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. Al Jazeera also reported that Ukrainian evacuees from Oleshky had been reunited with family members.
